Frequently asked questions

Does NFC event marketing work on iPhones in the Netherlands?

Yes. Every iPhone since the iPhone 7 reads NFC tags natively — the other person just holds your card near the top of their phone and iOS opens the link or the Add to Contacts prompt. No app is needed on their side.

Does the other person need to install an app?

No. They tap your NFC card or scan your QR code and land on your Altruistspace profile in their browser. From there they can save your contact as a vCard or sign in with Google to reveal gated fields like your phone number.

What kind of NFC tag do I need?

Any blank NTAG card or sticker (NTAG213, 215 or 216) works. You write your profile link or vCard to it once from Android Chrome using Altruistspace, or with a free app like NFC Tools on iPhone.

How do I remember who I met at each event?

Before the event, create it in your Altruistspace dashboard and set it as active. Every contact reveal during the event is stamped with its name, so My Contacts groups everyone by where you met — with private notes and timestamps.

Should my profile be in Dutch or English?

Altruistspace profiles work in any language — you write your own name, tagline and link labels. For international fairs, English is the safe default; for local Dutch events, write your profile in Dutch. You can adjust the wording anytime without rewriting the tag.
