The problem with badge scans and paper cards
Badge scanners give you a CSV of names you barely remember. Paper cards get crumpled in pockets and typed into contacts weeks later, if at all. Neither tells you where you met, what you talked about or why you should follow up.
Altruistspace replaces both with a live profile, a QR code and an NFC tap. Every contact reveal is stamped with the active event and stored with a private note — so your post-event follow-up actually lands.
Turn on an event before you walk in

In your dashboard, add an event name like "SaaStr Annual" or "Creator Meetup Mumbai". Set it as active.

Frequently asked questions
How do I exchange contacts at a conference without an app?
Open your Altruistspace profile and let the other person scan your QR code or tap your NFC card. They land on your page, tap Save contact to download a vCard, or Reveal contact to unlock your phone and WhatsApp after signing in. They never need to install anything.
Does the other person need an account?
No. Anyone can view your public profile and save your contact from the QR code or NFC tap. To reveal gated fields like your phone number, they sign in with Google — which also lets you remember who reached out.
Can I add notes to a contact?
Yes. In your dashboard under My Contacts you can add private notes to any reveal: what you talked about, follow-up tasks, or where you met. Only you can see them.
Can I export my contacts?
Each contact reveal gives you a vCard file you can save to your phone. A bulk export feature is planned for a future paid tier; for now you can review and manage contacts inside Altruistspace.
Does it work offline?
The viewer needs an internet connection to load your profile and sign in. Your QR code and NFC tag work anywhere, but the reveal and event stamp happen online so they are logged securely.
